This policy explains what information Jade Collective (“we”, “us”) collects through jadesounds.com (the “Site”), why we collect it, and how you can control it.
Information we collect
- Purchases: when you buy a licence, Stripe collects your email and payment details to process the charge. We receive your email and order details, never your full card number.
- Free downloads: the name and email you submit on a free non-profit download.
- My Purchases sign-in: your email, to send a one-time sign-in link.
- Newsletter: your email, if you sign up for new-beat notifications.
- Support & inquiries: whatever you submit through the support or exclusive-rights inquiry forms.
- Usage analytics: anonymous play/sale counts on beats, and — only if you accept the cookie banner — Google Analytics data about how you use the Site.
How we use it
To fulfil orders and deliver downloads, send receipts and download-link emails, respond to support and licensing inquiries, send newsletter updates to subscribers, and understand how the Site is used so we can improve it. We don't sell your information to anyone.
Payment processing
All payments are handled by Stripe. Jade Collective never sees or stores your full card number — Stripe's own privacy policy governs that data.
Third-party services
We use Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Google Analytics (site usage, only after cookie consent), and an S3-compatible storage provider (hosting the files you purchase). Each only receives the information needed to do its job.
Cookies
A small number of cookies keep your cart and player state working — these are essential and always on. Google Analytics only loads after you accept the cookie banner; declining keeps it off.
Data retention
We keep order records for accounting purposes. Newsletter and inquiry emails are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Email support@jadesounds.com to request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your information.
Children's privacy
The Site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect once posted here.
